Penjelasan Istilah Keagamaan Indonesia dalam Bahasa Arab melalui Mediasi Antarbudaya dan Cerita Digital
Keywords:
intercultural mediation, Arabic learning, Indonesian religious terms, digital storytelling, audience awarenessAbstract
This conceptual article develops an intercultural mediation framework for explaining Indonesian religious terms to Arabic-speaking audiences through digital storytelling. A directed narrative synthesis connects language mediation, intercultural communication, cultural representation, and multimedia design. Constructed scenarios involving mudik, tahlilan, and silaturahim distinguish local naming, observable activity, participants' stated meaning, and the limits of generalization. The proposed explanation sequence identifies the audience's question, situates the term in a bounded context, offers an accessible Arabic description, compares cautiously, and checks the listener's understanding. Digital stories preserve source and context notes rather than treating a visually attractive presentation as evidence of cultural understanding. An analytic rubric separates linguistic clarity, contextual accuracy, perspective attribution, and responsiveness. No interviews, community corpus, or classroom effects are reported. The framework requires community-sensitive content review, actual audience responses, and independent performance assessment before claims about improved intercultural competence can be made.
