Abstract

This study employs a design thinking approach in the UX design process, focusing on the stages of empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and testing. The result of this study is a conceptual UI/UX design for an Arabic language learning application that provides separate yet interconnected learning pathways for fusha and ‘ammiyyah in Arabic. The proposed features include structured learning materials, vocabulary and everyday expressions, contextual exercises, and AI-powered conversation practice that enables users to simulate Arabic communication in various situations. The proposed design demonstrates how AI can be integrated as a supporting component within a broader digital learning environment rather than as the sole focus of the application. This concept is expected to provide a foundation for the future development and evaluation of a more flexible, interactive, and contextually relevant Arabic language learning application.
