Developing Educational Materials for Balaghah for Grade 6; Study of The Caseof Riadh Uloom and Da’wah Institute, Condong Tasikmalaya

Abstract

The level of understanding of the rhetoric subject has decreased among many students, asthe textbooks used need some renewal and development. This study aimed to analyze thisproblem, especially in teaching the science of rhetoric, and to address this issue. The studyemployed the descriptive research method through a questionnaire directed to sixth-gradestudents at Riyad Al-Uloom and Da'wah Institute, Chundong Tsimalaya. The researcherinvestigated the causes of this problem and sought solutions, concluding that their textbookneeded development. The researcher then selected appropriate topics and arranged themfrom the easiest to more difficult, and had the students use this product experimentally. The results showed that the developed textbook serves as a robust remedy and an effectivesolution to this problem, as students' understanding increased, especially in the subject ofrhetoric. This study confirmed the necessity of developing educational material forbalaghah.
