Analisis Tasybih Dalam Qasidah Baidhowiyah : Kajian Balaghah
Keywords:
Tasybih, Balaghah, Qasidah, Arabic LiteratureAbstract
This study aims to describe the forms, types, and functions of tasybīḥ (simile) found in Qashidah Baidhowiyyah by Mochammad Nafish Ilham, using the framework of balāghah, particularly ‘ilm al-bayān. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach through textual content analysis, the research identifies ten instances of tasybīḥ, including balīgh, mufasshal, and tamtsīlī types. The dominant imagery—water, light, sea, and sun—depicts the spiritual teacher (mursyid) as a source of knowledge, divine guidance, and mercy. The functions of tasybīḥ include aesthetic, didactic, and sufistic dimensions, which together enhance the poem’s spiritual resonance. This study concludes that classical Arabic rhetoric (balāghah) remains relevant in modern pesantren literature, serving as a medium for expressing moral and spiritual teachings.
